NCMIR Scientist Wins Microscopy Society of America’s 2008 H.H. Crowley Award

August 4, 2008 — NCMIR researcher Thomas Deerinck was awarded the 2008 Hildegard H. Crowley Award for outstanding contributions to the field of biological electron microscopy. The award recognizes technologists for their significant contributions to the advancement of new techniques and instrumentation in the field of microscopy and was presented by William H. Gunning III, president of the society at the 2008 Microscopy Society of America meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition, he was awarded 1^st place in the society’s annual micrograph competition.
